Image Server

A sophisticated Image Server which is DICOM compliant with the following features:

• Support for the storage and retrieval of DICOM storage objects
• sophisticated rules engine that allows disk management activities and auto-routing
• Support for server partitions
• Lossless, lossy compression and standard JPEG compression
• Support for archival of studies to HSM style archives
• WADO(Web Access DICOM Objects) Support
• Image Server database with options to configure a file system for storing DICOM files.

The Image Server software has been designed to scale with a facility's needs. The software will support small-scale deployments where the database, image storage, and services are deployed on a single server.

It will also support deployments with a dedicated database server, multiple servers to run the services and web server, and multiple Network Attached Storage (NAS) and SAN (Storage Area Network) devices for storing of online images.
